Submission of Medical Examination Form for Aged Drivers

    

INTRODUCTION

If you are 65 years of age and above and possess a Singapore driving or provisional driving licence, you are required to undergo and pass a medical examination with a Singapore registered medical practitioner in order to continue driving in Singapore.

PROCEDURE

  • All medical examinations to be done for the validation of any licence must be within 2 months prior to their birthday (i.e. if your birthday is on 1 September 2021, your medical examination must be done within the period of 1 July 2021 to 31 August 2021). All completed medical examination reports must be submitted to Traffic Police 4 weeks prior to their birthday to facilitate prompt validation of the licence.
  • Foreigners who are not eligible to apply for Singpass (e.g. work permit holders and student pass holders), are required to log in to this e-service using your FIN number, Date of Birth and card serial number.
  • A copy of the medical examination report is also available for download via this e-service.
  • A completed medical examination report must indicate “fit/unfit” and the boxes in Part B (Medical History) and Part C (General Medical Examination) duly checked. It must be signed and fully endorsed by the medical practitioner with clinic stamp and date examined included.
  • You can log in to the e-service to review the status of the submission, a week before your next birthday.
IMPORTANT NOTICE

 

Class 2B, 2A, 2, 3C(A), 3C, 3A & 3

  • You need to submit the completed medical examination report to Traffic Police prior to your 65th birthday and every 3 years thereafter (e.g. age 68, 71, 74).

 

Class 4, 4A, 5

  • You need to submit the completed medical examination report to Traffic Police prior to your 65th birthday and for every year thereafter if you wish to drive until the age of 75.
  • Upon approval of your medical examination report by Traffic Police (you may use this e-service to check the status of your submission), you are required to pass the proficiency / enhanced proficiency test before your licence can be validated, booking of proficiency / enhanced proficiency tests can be done at Woodlands Test Centre (WTC) located at 2 Woodlands Industrial Park E4 S(757387).
