Outstanding Warrant of Arrest Enquiry System

    

INTRODUCTION

The Warrant of Arrest is a directive order issued by the Court to arrest and produce a person before the Court. Any person who has an outstanding Warrant of Arrest :

 

 • Shall follow the instructions as indicated on this website; and

 • Can be arrested by the Police anywhere within Singapore at any time without further notice.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

A criminal record is a record of a conviction or sentence given by the courts to an individual who was found guilty of committing a registrable offence. 

 

With effect from 17 October 2005, the Registration of Criminals Act allows the record of a minor conviction kept in the Register of Criminals to become spent if the person has stayed crime-free for a specified period.

INTRODUCTION

Individuals can check if the spent status of criminal record can be rendered spent. The purpose is to help deserving ex-offenders put their past behind them and re-integrate into society.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Individuals that has have satisfied a crime-free period of not less than 5 consecutive years from:

 ▪ The date the sentence was passed, after the sentence is no longer subject to appeal , in the case of a fine; or

 ▪ The date of release from legal custody, in the case of incarceration.

 

2. A registrable offence as stated in First Schedule and Second Schedule of the Registration of Criminals Act

Eligibility of Certificate of Merit (COM)

    

IMPORTANT NOTICE

If a driver has committed a traffic offence any day in the 3 years immediately before an insurance purchase that resulted in him/her being "awarded" demerit points, he/she would no longer be eligible for a COM on the day that he/she purchases the insurance.

INTRODUCTION

The COM entitles a driver to a discount on vehicle insurance premium from participating insurance companies, over and above his No-Claim Bonus (NCB).

Drivers who have maintained a continuous demerit-point-free driving record for the past 3 years.
